Oyumaru

Oyumaru (or Instant Mold), a Japanese invention, is a non-stick moulding material made from silicone and the greatest thing about it is that is 100% re-usable. This means that you can keep recycling it to make into different mold shapes. This is a fantastic solution if you need to make lots of different molds but only need a few castings of each mold.

Oyumaru is softened by hot water at a temperature of about 70 degree Celsius and once moulded into shape, it cools and hardens instantly, and does not stick to common sculpting putties like art clay and polymer clay.

Put the Oyumaru stick in hot water for a few minutes and it will soften and be ready to be moulded into the desired shape. If you want to make a different shape, just re-heat in hot water and start over again! Multiple sticks can be combined to make larger shapes.

Oyumaru has unlimited shelf life and can be heated and re-shaped over and over.
